Yinka Ayefele’s Fresh FM commences transmission

    The National Broadcasting Commission, (NBC) has given Fresh FM 105.9, Ibadan owned by popular gospel music act, Yinka Ayefele the go-ahead to officially commence transmission.
    According to David Ajiboye, Director, Corporate Affairs and Promotions, NBC has certified the newly set up radio station to commence operations.
    ‘The NBC, during an inspection tour of the newly-licensed station last week commended the chairman of the media house for acquiring latest broadcast equipment,’ he said.
    Also speaking on the development, the Technical Director of the commission, Engineer Friday, who visited the station, commended the readiness of Ayefele to positively impact his immediate environment and beyond, adding: ‘Fresh FM 105.9, Ibadan is fully ready with what I have seen here today.
    ‘The management has successfully surpassed our imagination. Most of the equipment you have here are latest and state of the earth, I believe with good management of these equipment and wonderful programmes, the station will achieve its dream,’ he said.
    The station began test of transmission last Monday in preparation for a full take-off from the first week of August amid cheers and commendation from the people of Ibadan and environs. NBC granted Ayefele limited broadcast license on April 30, 2015 with a transmitting frequency of 105.9MHz, after the singer submitted a bid for the license seven years ago.
