Nigerian music fans can now vote for their favorite tracks among the best 10 songs by 10 upcoming artists shortlisted from the hundreds that submitted entries on Star Music App’s Emerging Stars Contest.
The winner of the contest will get their big break into the industry by performing on Nigeria’s biggest music tour, The Trek. In addition, the winner will also get to collaborate with Choc City act and super producer, Jesse Jagz as well nationwide promotional support from Cool FM & Wazobia FM.
All top 10 artists will win prizes including smart phones from Airtel while the top 3 artists get to perform on The Trek also.
Top 10 tracks were selected based on originality, lyrics, vocal delivery, melody and quality of composition by a panel of judges led by Jesse Jagz, and also including Mannie of Cool FM, TheNETng, NotJustOk and Starcom Media.
Emerging Stars Contest is a unique online music competition designed by Star Music for talented artists from Nigeria who are not yet signed to a major label but are looking to showcase their skills and achieve dreams of becoming stars.
The goal of the Emerging Stars Contest is to find outstanding performers, raw gems that need to be discovered, and provide them with a platform for self-expression, the opportunity to reach new audiences across Nigeria and to perform on the biggest stages in the country.
