Just a few weeks after the Nigerian Broadcast Commission (NBC) granted his radio station the permission to kick off test of transmission, Yinka Ayefele has just taken delivery of new set of modern musical equipment worth several millions.
The new set of instruments, according to a statement signed by David Ajiboye, his publicist, is a way of investing further in his craft and preparing for the next level of entertainment.
‘We just took delivery of new customized equipment that is specially made for Yinka Ayefele and ‘The Merry Makers Band’, the equipment will make our job easier, effective and outstanding’, the statement says.
‘The equipment you’re looking at is a result of several research work done by my engineering team on the need to be different from the crowd, he said.
The instruments, accompanied by two Sound Engineers from Italy, took his staff and members of his band by surprise and instantly created a joyous atmosphere around. Known for releasing an album every year, the Ipoti-Ekiti but Ibadan-based gospel musician has been on top of his game for several years.
