    One of Nigeria’s most notable comedians, Ayo Makun better known as AY is a year older today, August 19, 2015.
    Born Ayodeji Richard Makun, AY is a native of Ondo State but created a ‘Warri Boy’ image for himself in the Nigerian comedy setting. Also an actor, broadcaster and businessman whose annual AY Live is one of the most attended events in the country, AY was born into a family of 7 kids as the oldest male child.
    AY studied Theatre arts at the Delta State University where he was one of the most popular students due to the several events he organised and got involved in the Nigerian comedy industry while serving as personal assistant to Nigeria’s standup comedy pioneer, Ali Baba and soon made a name for himself as one of the top players in the game.
    His 2014 movie, 30 Days in Atlanta which features Ramsey Nouah, Mercy Johnson, Richard Mofe Damijo and many others got the comedian several awards and nominations.
    Believed to have been born in the late 70s, he got married to his wife, Mabel in 2008 and they have a daughter together. Popular fashion designer, Yomi Casual is one of the siblings of the popular comedian.
