As the weekend gradually drags to an end, Nigerian cinema revelers still have the pleasure of hanging out with their loved ones for a time out with these top movies currently being shown in the country.
Dry: Stephanie Okereke’s movie on child marriage and the issue of Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF) has in recent weeks been one of the trending topics on the Nigerian entertainment scene. It tells the story of a 13-year-old who is forced to marry a man of 60 years. A touching movie which should be seen by everyone, Dry stars Liz Benson, Olu Jacobs, Rekiya Attah and Klint Da Drunk.
Dark: The movie premiered on August 28, 2015 amidst plump and glamour. It has however been welcomed with a thumbs up by critics and industry observers. Produced by sultry actress, Rukky Sanda, Dark is an intrigue filled movie which tells the story of revenge and love gone sour. It stars Van Vicker, Monalisa Chinda, Francis Odega and IK Ogbonna.
One fine day: With a powerful cast including Olu Jacobs, Joke Silva, Desmond Elliot and Funke Akindele, One Fine Day is one of the biggest blockbusters to be released this year. It is the story of a family faced with mistrust and rivalry among two sisters which turns bloody when the elder sister brings home her love interest.
Lunch time Heroes: A youth corp member is posted to a school where she is unwanted. The school cannot pay her due to a financial crisis but she is however set to make her mark with a bunch of kids who will become the Lunch Time Heroes. It stars Dakore Egbuson, Omoni Oboli and Diana Yekini.
