Danny Glover, Bimbo Akintola, Gideon Okeke speak on the importance of telling the world the Ebola story

    Veteran Hollywood actor, Danny Glover on Thursday, September 10, 2015 joined his Nigerian counterparts and the production crew of Ebola movie, 93 Days at a press briefing and cast unveiling ceremony which held at the Terra Kulture in Lagos.
    The excited actor, who plays the role of Dr. Benjamin Ohiare, the Chief Medical Director of First Consultant Hospital, shared his gladness to be part of the project.
    According to him: ‘I feel proud to be part of this story. It tells the story of possibility and pride among the black race and I am glad to be a part of it. This movie reconnects me to my roots and I hope it will serve as a source of inspiration to black people because with the spirit of love, we can achieve whatever we want to.’
    Also speaking at the event, top Nigerian actress, Bimbo Akintola, who plays the role of late heroine, Stella Adadevoh, disclosed that it was important for Nigerians to tell their stories to the rest of the world. ‘It is extremely important that we tell our stories especially when the movie is a positive one.
    ‘I am taking Dr Adadevoh’s part and I feel that’s a huge role because Stella was an incredible person and was a mother to many. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity. It is really important for we Nigerians to tell our story, otherwise the American people will tell it for us and still sell to us.’
