    FC Barcelona’s superstar Lionel Messi will be out of action for close to 8 weeks after suffering a tear in the internal collateral ligament of his left knee during today’s game against La Liga competitor Las Palmas.
    FCB’s official Twitter account confirmed the news, tweeting:

    Messi has a tear in the internal collateral ligament of his left knee. He will be out for around 7-8 weeks pic.twitter.com/TLor97gmou

    The 4 time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner was substituted 10 minutes into the game, which Liuz Suarez’s brace gave them a successful 2-1 win over the visitors in Camp Nou.
