It was a gathering of heavyweights from the Nigerian music industry yesterday, September 28, 2015 as major players met to proffer a proper framework for the exploitation of music in the digital space.
The summit which had as speakers, Afam Ezekude, Director General of the Nigerian Copyright Commission, Tony Okoroji, Chairman of COSON, Yunusa Labaran, Project Coordinator of Growth and Employment Projects (GEM) also had in attendance legendary juju musician turned evangelist, Ebenezer Obey, veteran rappers, Modenine and Mr. Raw as well as Olu Maintain, Essence, Audu Maikori (Chocolate City), Efe Omorogbe(Now Muzik), Kofi, Baba Dee and many others.
The summit, themed, ‘Establishing the Basic Rules of Engagement in the Digital Environment’ reached an agreement to put together guidelines that will be regulating the digital industry.
