A few days ago, Mavin act, Korede Bello dropped an inspirational song titled ‘Somebody Great‘ featuring Asa. In an exclusive chat with NET, he recounts how he got to seal the duet with award winning international singer.
In his words, I’ve been a fan of Asa even before I started music, her album was the first I ever bought with my money and I remember years ago, in all interviews I did I always said I’ll love to work with Asa, so fortunately for me, we met at an event, we talked and invited her to the studio, we played her a couple of songs and she likes this one, so we asked if she could jump on it and that’s it’.
Speaking on what to expect next, he said, ‘Yea there’s a plan to shoot a video for ‘Somebody Great’, more singles and videos will follow, more surprises as well’.
Asked if he has a plan for an album, he said, ‘we record all the time at the studio and I can tell you that I have enough material to make up two or three albums right now, but I personally don’t feel the time is ripe, I think I need a couple more videos, more music and all, I’m not ready for an album yet’.
