Nigerian rapper, MI Abaga and pop singer, Yemi Alade have been unveiled as judges of the Tecno Own the Stage Karaoke competition while Uti Nwachukwu will be the host.
The competition will have several contestants from Nigeria, Kenya and Tanzania and the eventual winner will go home with $50, 000 and an opportunity to record a song and go on a tour with a popular music act.
The Tecno Own the Stage premieres on Africa Magic on October 25, 2015 and will be broadcast on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv 151). The winner will be unveiled at a grand finale in February, 2016.
How to participate:
Select Your Track: Select your favourite track from the Track List. You can listen to the track and read the lyrics.
Record & Upload: Record your own karaoke rendition and submit the track via the Submission Form on the website.
The Judges Review: The judges will review the entries and select the top recordings. Qualifiers will be notified directly.
Show Time: Qualify through the auditions phase and get the chance to Own the Stage on DSTV’s Africa Magic channel.
