Bobby Shmurda was scheduled to begin trial on Monday October 5, 2015 following his December arrest with members of his GS9 crew.
They were incarcerated based on weapons and murder charges. However, a judge has pushed the trial back to February 22, 2016.
Shmurda’s new lawyer, Alex Spiro, made his first appearance representing the Epic Records rapper as he pleaded on behalf of his client and asked for his client to be released on bail, but Judge James Burke denied the request.
Special Narcotics Prosecutor Nigel Farinha said that Shmurda’s applications for bail had been denied four times since his arrest.
