Top Yoruba actress and movie producer, Laide Bakare is a year older today. Born on October 7, decades ago in Ibadan, the mother of 3 is an award winning Nollywood actress who has acted in several home videos and soaps.
Before venturing into Nollywood, Laide studied Theater Arts at the University of Ibadan during which her romance with the industry began. Her dad owned a hotel in Ibadan which was usually used as a location by producers. This exposed Laide Bakare to the industry at a teenage age as she got closer to several actors which facilitated her entry into the movie industry.
The Oyo state indigene has also produced over a dozen movies most recent of which is Daddy Daddy. In June 2015, the actress who is also a businesswoman unveiled her new record label Simline Records which has signed B2L, a pop group which is set to storm the music scene.
The award winning actress has twice been married. Her first marriage to Olumide Okufulire ended in 2011 due to irreconcilable differences after producing a daughter. The actress however remarried Tunde Oriowo, a union which has produced two sons.
She is currently in the United State where her hubby is based.
