Chairman of SWAN (Sport writers association of Nigeria) Lagos Chapter, Fred Edoreh has joined Nigerians in mourning the death of veteran sport journalist Felix Okugbe who died on Saturday, October 10, 2015 after a long battle with prostrate cancer.
Until his death, Felix who died at the Lagos State Teaching Hospital was the Head of Sport, DAAR Communications and RAY Power, he was the CEO of Mundial Sport International.
In the words of Fred Edoreh, ‘Finally, we lost him, he fought bravely to stay alive, he didn’t want to die, we wanted him to live, but painfully we got to a bend where he couldn’t hear us and, we couldn’t hear him. The medicine men said he had not been around, they tried to call him back, he came briefly looked at us, he wanted to come over again, but his bones failed him. We watched him as he walked into silence. Goodbye Felix’.
