Barcelona FC has joined 15 other teams in the knock out stage of the UEFA Champions League. This is despite a 1-1 draw against top German side, Bayer Leverkusen last night.
4 times Ballon d’Or winner, Lionel Messi opened the score sheet in the 20th minute to net his 80th UCL goal. Barca’s lead was however quickly cancelled 3 minutes later by Mexican international Javier Hernandez.
With Barcelona topping Group E, Bayer Leverkusen has been sent to the Europa League like FC Porto and Manchester United.
