Kwam 1 and Salawa Abeni.
A protracted feud between Fuji legend KWAM 1 and Waka queen, Salawa Abeni took a new turn on Sunday, January 3, 2016 during an event at Timesquare Event Centre, Ikeja, Lagos.
For those who don’t know, all hasn’t been well in the camps of both veterans since 2013 during the 80th birthday of the paramount ruler of Ijebu Ode, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
Sources close to both camps told NET that KWAM 1, also known as K1 had approached respected Ijebu musicians to make an album in honour of the monarch. Salawa allegedly flared up and publicly threw insults at the mutual friend and also directed verbal jabs at K1 who we’re told did not respond.
NET reached out to KWAM 1’s camp and his manager Afiz Karim told us ‘really it wasn’t a big deal.’
‘It was a mutual friend of Bobo (KWAM 1) and Salawa that tried to get them to greet each other at the party. It didn’t happen, and they simply moved on’.
