Rap group, Run DMC has been slated to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Grammys at this years awards ceremony.
According to The FADER, the rap group, was the first rap collective group to be nominated for Best R&B Vocal Performance.
Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy, explained in a statement why the group deserved the honour after all this time.
