    Players of Enyimba Football Club of Aba were attacked by robbers, Monday, January 18, 2016 in Okene, Kogi state.
    The team was on its way to Kaduna for the Super Four league, a mini contest involving the teams that would be representing the country in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations cup.
    The club has confirmed the attack on its twitter account.

    We can confirm that our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the #SuperFour.

    Players and officials were reportedly stripped of all valuables, but the club is thankful that no one was injured.

    Five Kano Pillars player were injured in a similar attack in 2015. As current champions of the Nigerian Professional Football League, Enyimba will join Warri Wolves, Nassarawa United, and Akwa United in Kaduna for the three-day competition.
