Nigeria’s Odion Ighalo returned to his scoring ways last night, January 23 when he led his team to a 2-1 win over visitors, Newcastle United.
Watford broke the 4-match-defeat run at their Vicarage Road homeground with Odion opening the goal chart in the early minutes of the first half after a goaless run in the first half. The Nigerian striker has now scored 14 goals in 23 games in the current season putting him 3rd on the scorers chart.
Craig Cathcart doubled the lead in the 58th minute but Jamal Lascelles managed to get a consolidation goal for the visitors.
