Ross Barkley gave Everton a lead in the early minutes of the game after opening scoring in the 18th minute but their joy was short lived as Fernandinho equalized 6 minutes later with the first half ending in a draw.
Kelvin De Bruyne, who was a second half substitute for Yaya Toure, put Manchester City ahead in the 70th minute and the result was sealed with a superb header by Sergio Aguero 6 minutes later.
