Two years after it was first shown in London, a musical play, ‘Oliva Tweest’ is set to debut in Nigeria.
The musical, which is inspired by pop star, D’banj’s 2011 massive hit, ‘Oliver Twist’, tells the story of a ‘cocky and promiscuous young man, Tobi who tries everything he can to get the attention of a female singer. In his attempts he discovers a world of lies, ambitions and parental pressure’.
The cast include popular dancer and choreographer, Ezinne Asinugo and British-Nigerian actor, Emmanuel Imani with collaboration from Yinka Ayinde, a London-based theatre maker and producer Yemisi Mokuolu.
The musical will hold on 25 February at the University of Lagos and it will be filmed by Mark Pengelly, a UK-based Director of Photography, and shown world-wide across social media. …Read More
