    It’s a double celebration for talented Nigerian music act, Mr 2Kay as his highly anticipated EP drops today while he is also celebrating his birthday.
    The Grafton Entertainment act was born in Port Hacourt on February 11, over two decades ago. He grew up with his single mum while hustling to make a sense out of the hardtimes he found himself. The family survived by hawking food.
    A talented artist, Mr 2kay once gained admission to study Visual Arts at the University of Port Hacourt but this was shortlived as he dropped out due to shortage of cash. He eventually found himself in the water front areas of Port Harcourt popularly known as Waterside where he lived and survived with menial jobs.
    While he was going through all these difficult times, Mr 2kay never abandoned his creativity and kept himself alive by singing. Grafton Entertainment owned by businessman, Tonye Ibiama eventually came to his rescue in 2010 which marked an amazing turn around in his life.
    Mr 2kay eventually dropped his debut album to regional acclaim. The album which was titled ‘Waterside Boy’ also got him a nomination for Next rated artiste at the Niger delta Advancement awards.
    Since his entrance into the music, his career has blossomed and from that unknown boy in the Delta to one of the fastest growing music acts in this part of the world. His singles including, ‘Bubugaga’ which was released in the UK, ‘Who no like better thing’, ‘Moniegram’ among others were dropped to national acclaim.
    He has also been nominated for and has won numerous awards including Artiste of the year at the Niger Delta Advancement Awards, Best Collaboration at Nigeria Entertainment Awards in New York while he also got two nominations at the Headies all in 2015.
