New Olubadan.
The new Olubadan of Ibadanland, High Chief Saliu Adetunji, will be crowned on Friday, March 4, 2016.
Part of the activities lined up for the enthronement, is a music concert tagged ‘Olubadan Royal Fiesta,’ which holds on the eve of the coronation ceremony, March 3, 2016. Musicians such as King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal aka K1, Rasheed Ayinde(Merenge), Abass Akande Obesere, Saheed Osupa, Taiye Currency, Qdot, LKT, Lil Kesh, and many others have been billed to perform at the Fiesta.

The Olubadan seat became vacant following the death of Oba Samuel Odulana Odugade on January 19. The Olubadan-in-Council had pronounced Adetunji, who is the Balogun of Ibadan, the Olubadan-designate as he is the most senior in rank to ascend the throne.
