Lekki Gardens CEO, Richard Nyong and his contractor were arraigned at the Magistrate Court in Ebute Metta earlier today, Friday, 11, 2016. The two were brought to the court in a handcuff amid tight security.

Richard was arrested and detained at Panti Police Station, Lagos, following the collapse of an uncompleted five-storey building on Kushenla Road, Ikate Elegushi, Lekki, which his company was handling.
The Governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, ordered his arrest yesterday and he was charged to court immediately.
