Reactions continue to trail Beyonce‘s surprise release of her sixth studio album, Lemonade, majorly due to the album’s strong hints of infidelity on the part of the singer’s husband, Jay-Z.
On one of the songs on the album, Sorry, Beyonce seemingly revealed the identity of her husband’s alleged mistress as ‘Becky’, with the lyrics: ‘He only want me when I’m not there/ He better call Becky with the good hair.’
There have been several reports alluding that the ‘Becky’ the singer referenced on the song is Rachel Roy, a fashion designer and ex-wife of Jay-Z’s former associate, Damon Dash.
The fashion designer seemingly confirmed this when she posted a selfie of herself laughing in the back of a car just hours after the record dropped on Saturday night.
She captioned the now deleted image: ‘Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens.’
This precipitated a day of being attacked on Instagram by Beyonce fans, also known as the Beyhive, who left her insults, threats, and bee and lemon emojis on her Instagram posts.

The Beyhive, which takes no prisoners, alos ruthlessly dragged Roy on social media platforms for hours, to the point where the fashion designer was forced to make her Instagram account private. She addressed the backlash with the following tweet:

Rachel is believed to be the reason Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange Knowles attacked Jay-Z in the infamous elevator scuffle in 2014. Solange reportedly confronted Rachel prior to the elevator incident, demanding that the fashion designer stay away from her sister’s husband.
