Governor Abubakar pledges conducive environment to Corps members

Governor Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State has reiterated the determination of his administration to ensure conducive environment for corps members posted to the state, promising to end the orientation exercise of youth corps members outside Bauchi State.

He made the remark yesterday while commissioning some new structures at the Bauchi State National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, permanent orientation camp, Wailo, saying hostels, dining hall and other structures was part of the pledge he made a year ago at the Plateau state permanent National Youth Service Corps, NYSC orientation camp, Mangu.

Governor Abubakar observed that the NYSC programme is augmenting the number of qualified teachers in the state, adding that the scheme helps particularly in rural areas where qualified teachers are lacking or inadequate and reiterated the determination of his administration to ensuring the safety and welfare of corps members in all nooks and crannies of the state.

He explained that the intervention of his government in upgrading, construction and rehabilitation of dilapidated structures at the NYSC orientation camp has provided a conducive atmosphere for the training of the Corps members which he said, is meant to support them in nation-building, which is fundamental to the peace, progress and development of the country.

Governor Abubakar promised to provide more infrastructure, security and upliftment of the living standard of the people in line with the rebranding
policy of the present administration in the State, in spite of the economic challenges facing the state and the country in general.

He assured that in line with the job creation policy of his party, the government will continue to make investments in the youths within its limited resources to enhance their capacity to perform and be self employed.
