You’ll not regret creating Sango/Ijoko LCDA, residents assure Amosun

Residents of Sango in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State have assured Governor Ibikunle Amosun that he would not regret creating Sango/Ijoko Local Council Development Area.
The people of the newly created LCDA also commended the governor for returning almost 21 communities which had earlier been ceded to Ota area of the local government to Sango/Ijoko.
The residents led by the traditional ruler of the community, Oba Oluwagbohun Adebayo and the chief imam of Sango, Alhaji Tajudeen Shafi’i, rolled out drums over the weekend to celebrate the creation of the LCDA and to thank the governor for the boundary adjustment.
Ogun State House of Assembly on Thursday passed a bill titled ‘HB No. 02/OG/ 2016- The Local Government (Creation and Transitional Provisions) Amendments Law, 2016′ to accommodate the creation of 37 LCDAs as proposed by the governor.
Speaking to journalists, Oba Adebayo assured that within six months of the take-off, the people would be mobilised for increased Internally Generated Revenue that would make the community the best amongst equal.
He further said that industrial forum would be organised towards attracting new investors to the area.
He said, “He has done well for us. We appreciate him; we want to assure him that within the next six months after the take off of the LCDA, the governor will see that this is the best LCDA in this state. We are going to mobilise our people towards increasing the Internally Generated Revenue; our people’s tenement rate, they will pay their tax and this LCDA and the state will be buoyant.
“We are going to create an environment, industrial forum where the industry will help to develop this town. There are over 100 industries in Sango and we are going to tap the resources to develop this LCDA; he will never regret creating Sago/Ijoko LCDA.”
