No prize for guessing what these two famous Nigerians chatted about when they caught up at a party recently.
Femi Otedola, son of a former governor of Lagos state Michael Otedola was such a big fan and follower of SSP that he published a magazine in his name in the ’90s.
Otedola was a Juju-lover and Shina fanatic, along with other rich kids, including Kola Abiola.
Many believe Shina Peters received donations from the Abiola and Otedola kids when he built his Iju-Lagos mansion.
He’s no longer the hit-maker he used to be, and no longer in high demand. But SSP is still popular with Nigerian audiences, for his 90s hits. He’s of course still happy to deliver the goods when he’s called upon.
And it’s not likely any other Nigerian musician has had a magazine in their name since Otedola – who’s now a billionaire and father to a rising DJ – made it happen for Shina.
