You may not know Osa Okunkpolor. But you know him. You’ve seen him standing by one of his iconic works on Guinness billboards across the country. You’ve seen his works in offices and lounges and fabrics. You’ve seen him, touched him, and even liked him.
And now you’re about to meet him.
As the Lagos-based artist rounds up a successful solo exhibition, Thenetng pays tribute to the man who’s possibly the most gifted and most hardworking graffiti artiste this side of the world.
With over 30 art pieces and half a dozen prop installations, the Lagos exhibition features works on canvass and walls, as well as shoes, cans, cards, and a live graffiti pairing of a KIA saloon car.
Married to talent manager Osagie Osarenkhoe, Osa is an Urban GFX and Graffiti Artist, using stencils, spray paint, epoxy, varnish, paper and boards, to paint contemporary culture.
