A top management staff of a new generation bank, Adewale Adesanya, was last week August 13th, killed by suspected assassins in Ahoada area of Rivers State. According to family sources, Adewale was on his way out with some of his friends when suspected assassins trailed his car and began to fire shots at him.
While trying to run away from his attackers, Adewale veered into the bush. This did not deter his assailants who pursued him into the bush. According to one of his friends who was with him, one of the assassins shouted at one of his colleagues to ‘finish him off’ and ‘offload him’.
Investigations by the Ahoada-East Area command have commenced. No item was removed from the car apart from the mobile phone of the deceased. Adewale who is a banker of almost 10 years was the account officer to many of the ex-militants on the payroll of the Niger Delta Amnesty Programme. …Read More
