Boko Haram: Hopeless and hungry mothers in Lake Chad resort to prostitution to feed their children – Red Cross

Due to the insurgency by Boko Haram terrorists that have driven millions from their communities, women in Lake Chad are forced into prostitution to survive, The International Committee of the Red Coss (ICRC) said on Thursday.

The violence has displaced more than 2.4 million people across the swamplands of Lake Chad, where the borders of Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Nigeria meet, and disrupted the livelihoods of hundreds of thousands of others, ICRC says.
