Lithuania prisoner should have internet access – Court rules

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) has ruled that Lithuanian prisoner should be given access to the internet. It comes after a Lithuanian man in jail was ‘unfairly’ denied access to the internet in the prison.

According to BBC, the prison authorities had barred the inmate, Henrikas Jankovskis from going online to apply for a law course, stating that the websites he had wanted to visit were all government-run.
