A one year and six months old severely malnourished child was rescued by Dr. Betta Edu, the Director General of CRSPHCDA. The child identified as Christiana Etim was discovered during the last concluded Maternal and Newborn Child Health Week by a team of Health Workers at Ikot Ekpo Axis of Calabar.
The mother of the child Esther Etim Effiom, a 16 years old girl had been sent sent to live with a distant relation at Eket as a house maid. She got pregnant for one Victor who she refuses to Identify.
