Mikel Obi holds back tears while speaking after Nigeria’s defeat to Argentina, Coach Gernot Rohr says the players tried (videos)

Nigeria only needed a draw to qualify to the round of 16 at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but couldn’t hold still and were defeated after a goal by Argentine defender, Marcus Rojo in the 82nd minute sealed the scoreline.

Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi who held back his tears during an interview after the match, said they did all they could, while Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, stated that the players are not so experienced but did their utmost best.
