FRSC Commends EFCC For Consistency.
The Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Akwa- Ibom Command, Ochi Samuel, has commended the doggedness of the Uyo zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) in the fight against corruption, economic and financial crimes in Akwa Ibom State and its environs.
Ochi gave the commendation on Thursday, September 17, 2020, when the Uyo zonal Head of the EFCC, Uchenna Edeh, payed a familiarisation visit to the Akwa Ibom State Command of the FRSC on Idoro Road, Uyo.
According to him, the presence of the EFCC in the zone, has been of immense help to the people of the state and by extension, the entire zone. He admired the courage, professionalism and zealousness of the Commission's officers in discharging their duties.
"If there is any area you need our support, our doors are always open for you. Collaboration should involve every Nigerian because if we all come together to fight this monster called corruption, Nigeria will work and it will succeed", he said.
Earlier, Edeh commended the FRSC for actively partnering with the Commission over the years, and ensuring that desired success is achieved.
" We know the importance of the Federal Road Safety Corps in fighting corruption. It is an agency that we really need to partner with, to enable us succeed. There are instances when we have had to fall back on Road Safety, because they keep records of Nigerians, especially vehicle registration and issuance of drivers licence and these are information that often come handy during investigation", he said.
Edeh therafter enjoined the Command to continue to support the EFCC, especially in the area of intelligence sharing.
