Akeredolu describes APC primaries as a charade, blasts Oshiomhole

Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo state, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries as a charade which exposed the incompetence of Adams Oshiomhole, chairman of the ruling party.

He said this while reacting to an allegation that three governors, led by Akeredolu, were bent on sabotaging the party.

Akeredolu said recent events justified his opposition to Oshiomhole’s choice as party chairman, adding that those who feel aggrieved reserve the right to demand justice, including calling for Oshiomhole’s removal.

The governor, however, said he was committed to President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election.

During a pro-Oshiomhole protest at the APC secretariat on Tuesday, Akeredolu was listed as the leader of the conservatives bent on the removal of Oshiomole.
