Sunday Anani, the Togolese cook who was arrested over the murder of Ope Bademosi, chairman of Credit Switch Technology, has reportedly admitted to killing the businessman.
According to a statement issued Sunday by the Lagos state police command, Anani confessed to killing Bademosi when he (Anani) sneaked into his room to rob him.
The suspect had earlier said four unidentified persons broke into the residence of the deceased on the day he was killed.
But in the statement issued by Chike Oti, the suspect was quoted as saying he “stabbed him (the late Bademosi) twice on the chest” after a failed attempt to rob him.
He was also quoted as saying he escaped from the house upon hearing a knock, suspecting it may be the deceased’s wife whom he said had gone out.
