2018 WASSCE: WAEC Records 17% in New Diet


The West African Examination Council (WAEC) Tuesday released the result of the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates first series, where it recorded a total of 1,937 candidates representing 17.13 per cent obtaining minimum of credits in five subjects and above including English Language and Mathematics.

Out of a total of 11,721 candidates that sat for the examination, 2,110 representing 17.78 per cent, obtained credits and above in six subjects.

The Head of Nigerian National Office of the Council, Mr. Olu Adenipekun, who briefed journalists on the analysis of the statistics of performance, said 8,113 candidates representing 71.75 per cent obtained credits and above in two subjects, while 6,375 candidates representing 56.38 per cent obtained credits and above in three subjects.
