Court Frees 114 Women Asking for Nnamdi Kanu

An Owerri High Court in Owerri yesterday evening unconditionally released the 114 women arrested while protesting and demanding the whereabouts of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu.
The women were arrested by the police who chzarged them before a Magistrate Court that declined jurisdiction but ordered them to be remanded in prison till legal advice was got on the matter.

The women were arraigned on Monday and brought to court again on Thursday when counsel to the accused women, Ejiofor Uche moved the motion for their bail which was not opposed as there was no police representation in court.
The bail application filed by the lead counsel to the women was not opposed, as the Police had no representation in court.
The court had after hearing the application, granted the bail application, and freed the women…
