Ohanaeze Hails Judiciary for Freeing Detained IPOB Women

The President General of the umbrella body of Ndigbo Worldwide, the Ohanaeze, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, has commended the Judiciary for allowing reason and respect for human rights to prevail by freeing detained Igbo women.

The Ohanaeze leader who is recuperating abroad from a mild surgery warned the Federal Government not to stretch the patience of the people or precipitate their anger.

He also cautioned the Igbo against shooting themselves on the foot no matter the provocation.

In a statement he personally signed , Chief Nwodo said that Ohaneze was pleased that reason and respect for human rights prevailed and that a little over one hundred women who were exercising their fundamental human rights could not conceivably be any threat to peace in Imo State.
