The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has identified vandalism of telecom infrastructure as the greatest threat to the growth of the telecommunication industry in the country. 

 The Director of Zonal Operations, Amina Shehu, made this disclosure yesterday in Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area of Nassarawa State at a Sensitisation Workshop on the Protection of Telecom Infrastructure organised by the NCC to enlighten the public and other stakeholders on the need to protect telecom  infrastructure within their communities. 

 Mr. Abubakar Usman, the Principal Manager, Zonal Operations, NCC, who represented the Director, Zonal Operations, Mrs. Shehu, said it was regrettable that vandalism had remained a major challenge to the deployment of telecom infrastructure in the country.
