No Attempt to Subvert Justice Tsoho’s Emergence as Substantive CJ, Says FHC

The Federal High Court (FHC) in Abuja yesterday said that there was no plot to undermine its acting Chief Judge (CJ), Justice John Tsoho, from becoming the substantive CJ.

In a swift reaction to the allegations by the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) the Chief Registrar, Emmanuel Gakko in Abuja, described the claim as falsehood.

CUPP had on September 20, accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of a plot to influence the selection of new Supreme Court justices ahead of move by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s presidential candidate in the Feb. 23 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and his party to appeal against the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal which recently affirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s electoral victory.
