The wave of defections continues in Sokoto All Progressives Congress weekend as about 18,371 card carrying members of the party from Sabon Birni Local government area defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Receiving the new defectors into the PDP Saturday, Mallam Saidu Umar, the PDP gubernatorial candidate, assured them that God willing, they’ve defected to the winning party, which ensures fairness and inclusiveness for all it members.
According to a statement issued by Nafiu Muhammad Lema, the PDP governorship flagbearer said if given the mandate, he will sustain and improve on the legacies of the Governor Aminu Tambuwal administration especially in the area that directly affects the wellbeing of the people of the State.
He said education, agriculture, youth and women empowerment, and security will receive the topmost priority.
