WALE AKINSELURE spoke with the former Head of Service of Oyo State, Mr Soji Eniade, after the recent declaration of his intention to vie for the 2019 governorship ticket of the party at the Oyo State Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Excerpts:
Today, you declared your intention to run for the office of governor of Oyo State, what are your cardinal reasons for the declaration?
I am a product of the public sector for 35 years and I believe strongly that it is a terrain I am familiar with. The economy is equally divided into the public and private sector. But, over the years, we have the private sector participants who are actually crossing over to assume responsibility of governance and leadership of the public sector. Being a product of the public sector, I should be able to continue from where I stopped as public servant to cross over to leadership position….
