THE Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has insisted that there is no going back on its earlier resolution of conducting indirect primaries for all elective posts where consensus fails.
This position was contrary to the directive of the National Working Committee (NWC), on Tuesday, on the approved mode of primaries across the states of the federation as contained in a statement signed by the acting secretary of the party, Mr Yekini Babe is, that the state should conduct direct primaries.
The publicity secretary of the party in the state, Chief Wole Elegbede, in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, said the statement became necessary following the spate of speculations in sections of the media that direct primary option would be adopted.
