The Oyo State Government has described as fake, information doing the rounds in some sections of the state’s civil and public service that government had reversed its February 2018 approval of promotions of years 2012 to 2016 for its workers.
The reports had ranged from an order of the state governor that those who had received arrears of promotion were to make a refund to that further issuance of promotion letters be stopped, as well as that letters issued were not backed with payment of arrears cum the expected remuneration.
Addressing the reports, Executive Assistant to Governor Abiola Ajimobi on Administration, Mr Soji Eniade, said government never considered reversing or withdrawing the promotion exercise that it had earlier announced.
