Dr Akinwumi Adesina, president of the African Development Bank (AfDB), has some reprieve now because he has been able to rally relevant stakeholders at home, across ideological divides to his cause. From Chief Olusegun Obasanjo with his clout and great international standing, to President Muhammadu Buhari with his famed and hard earned moral standing, Dr. Adesina has a ray of hope.
The best came with the current President’s agreement to work with others to actualise Dr. Adesina’s second term and that is a diplomatic masterstroke, as it means Nigeria will constructively engage its allies, through mutual respect and understanding based on our international goodwill.
