No day with national significance like June 12, 1993 ― Ogun gov


The Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Friday, hinted that there is no National Day in the nation’s history, that is significant like June 12, 1993.

Abiodun stated this in his address delivered to commemorate the year 2020 Democracy Day in commemoration of the June 12 anniversary, that the election, no doubt, was won by the late MKO Abiola, having scored 58.36 per cent of the 14 million votes cast.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for choosing June 12 to replace May 29 as Democracy Day, as the day of national rebirth.
