Fresh crisis hits Reps PDP caucus as minority leader disowns call for Secondus’ resignation


The lingering crisis within the lead opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deepens on Monday as the Minority Leader, Hon Ndudi Elumelu, disowned himself and other lawmakers from the call for the immediate resignation of the embattled PDP National Chairman, Prince Uche Secondus, by Hon Kingsley Chinda-led group.

Hon Elumelu’s position was contained in a statement titled: ‘PDP Reps haven’t met over current leadership challenges in the party’ obtained by Tribune Online.

Recall that the PDP Caucus via a communiqué co-signed by its Leader and his Deputy, Hon Kingsley Chinda and Hon Chukwuma Onyema, tasked Prince Secondus to consider making the necessary personal sacrifice…
