Group calls on Benue chiefs to sanction Akume

A group known as “Benue Youth Forum” on Thursday, called on the state council of chiefs to sanction the Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Senator George Akume over his attack on Governor Samuel Ortom.

In a statement issued and signed by its president, Terrence Kuanum, the group said that sanctioning him would serve as a deterrent to others who are against the Benue people.

Senator Akume had, on Monday, at a press conference in Abuja accused Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom of ineptitude, disrespecting the president, Muhammad Buhari and alleged massive corruption in his administration.
