Professor Isiaq Oloyede has been reappointed for another term as the registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB). This is good.
Oloyede took over the leadership of the government agency when spiritual snakes were swallowing millions of naira and missing scratch cards allegedly burnt in unknown cars were discovered to have been used but with no record of returns from their sales.
The agency, before Oloyede took over only remitted N50m to government coffers in more than five years while it still got allocations from government.
On resumption, Oloyede declared that the agency could be self sustaining. And in eight months of his leadership, he remitted N7bn to government….
